DMX512 DIN-rail mounted opto-isolator

The DINTAP is a DIN-rail mounted DMX512 optical isolator. The output is electrically isolated from the input by a 750 volt DC to DC converter and a 2500 volt optical isolator. The DINTAP allows the DMX signal to be split without the possibility of reflections from one signal path interfering with the signal to a device on a different path. By isolating the output, electrical noise and hazardous voltages on the output are prevented from affecting (or damaging) devices on the input.

Other DIN-rail mounted interfaces are available with a single dry contact relay closure or open collector optical coupler. Interfaces such as 0-10V analog and RS-232 may be manufactured on a custom basis.

Input circuit: EIA-485 receiver with series self resetting fuses (PTC) and transient absorbing diodes.
Input protection: Not damaged by continuous 120VAC line cross or up to 5KV transients.
Input isolation: 750 volt DC/DC converter, 2500 volt optical coupler.
Input termination: 120 ohm termination circuit may be switched in or out via external jumper
Input signal: 0.2 volts minimum, 12 volts maximum
Output circuit: EIA-485 driver with self resetting fuses and transient absorbing diodes.
Output protections: Not damaged by continuous 120VAC line cross or up to 15KV transients.
Wire size: 24-14 AWG
Connector: Phoenix Contact MSTB series 12 position.
