24 Volt 150 Watt DMX512 Color Scroller Power Supply
Doug Fleenor Design built this power supply for another manufacturer years ago. That other manufacturer began building their own design and left us with 600 enclosures and 100 circuit boards.

Input power:
115VAC, 50/60 Hz. 3.2A. -or- 230VAC 50/60Hz 1.6A (internally switchable)
Input signal:
DMX512, DMX512/1990, DMX512-A (250 Kb/s, 0.2 Volts min. 12 Volts max.)
Input can withstand up to 120 volts without damage, transients up to 5KV
Input circuit:
EIA-485 receiver protected by two 100ohm PTC fuses and four transient protection diodes (two on +Data, two on -Data)
Input connector:
Gold plated 5 pin male XLR connector (Neutrik D-1 series)
Input pass through:
Gold plated 5 pin female XLR connector (Neutrik D-1 series) All pins are passed through
Input isolation:
None. Input common is connected to output common.
Output signals:
Two pair of buffered DMX512 outputs with 24V power on 4 pin XLRs.
Outputs can withstand continuous shorts between any pins with no damage.
Output circuit:
EIA-485 transmitter protected by two polyswitch fuses and two transient protection diodes.
Output return circuit:
Power is provided on pins 1 and 4 of the return connector. 120 Ohm termination is provided between pins 2 and 3 of the return connector.
Output connectors:
Gold plated 4 pin XLR (Neutrik D-1 series) rated at 10 amps. Each output pair has one female XLR output and one male XLR return (for loop wiring if desired).
Output current (power):
6.25 amps (150 watts) continuous
Output connector pin out:
1: Common, 2: DMX Data-. 3: DMX Data+, 4: +24VDC
Indicators:
Red power LED, Green signal LED
